The Scott Partnership is thrilled to announce the recruitment of three new interns! Anna, Alisha and Leo are the latest additions to the vastly experienced team at TSP. All three interns are recent university graduates with strong backgrounds in critical thinking and communications.
What did our interns study and specialise in?
- Anna: Modern History, built on a foundation of research and objective writing
- Alisha: Media, Culture and Communications, covering modules such as public relations, social media, and news writing
- Leo: English Literature, focusing on critical thinking and analytical writing
Why are backgrounds such as these so important?
Our Chief Executive Officer, Kath Darlington explains, ‘The Scott Partnership has over 25 years of PR and marketing communication expertise in the fields of science, technology and industry. However, when looking at recruitment, we have always promoted individuals with creative minds; this is what the job demands. We have run an intern intake for more than 10 years now.’
How have Anna, Alisha and Leo found the role so far?
Anna: ‘I’ve really enjoyed my three months as an intern and felt welcomed by the team from day one. I feel privileged to have met clients, and to have worked on such a wide variety of activities already. The role has demanded tight organisation and fast pace, but this leaves you with a great sense of productivity and achievement at the end of each day.’
Alisha: ‘Although I am not from a science-based background, I have really enjoyed taking on a new challenge that is outside of my comfort zone. You are pushed to better yourself every day, and I’m pleasantly surprised by how quickly I’m picking up all the scientific terminology and information.’
Leo: ‘At TSP, you are handed the opportunity to develop new skills every day. Although I’ve only been with the team for two months, I’ve already worked on a range of creative pieces, from blogs to press releases, and even podcasts. Everybody thrives from producing work to such a high standard.’
TSP prides itself on the opportunities and development offered to all employees. Two of our three new interns have already achieved promotion to Junior Account Executive after only being with us for a little over three months, and the prospect of further progression is always on the horizon.
The Scott Partnership is always interested in enhancing capabilities with new interns, account executives and managers. We currently have immediate openings in account management and interns, so anyone looking for a new graduate opportunity should contact us immediately. We welcome any CVs sent to careers@scottpr.com.
